Reliable and the best deal going Aug 29, 2005
By B. Davis

You can scan Ebay until your eyeballs fall out and you won't find a better deal than this. When they are available from Amazon with free shipping I always stock up. Isi is a good reliable brand - I've had no name chargers with a few duds in the box. By the way - the empty canisters make good cat toys - my herd likes to bat them around the kitchen floor in the middle of the night.

I disagree with a few reviews Feb 24, 2008
By M. K. Hunyady I'm slightly perplexed by the reviews which state the following:
you don't get a litre of soda water (actually, that is true; you get nearly 2 ounces fewer than in a litre);
I didn't know I could use this cartridge only once (how did you think that you could use a punctured, once-pressurized cO2 cartridge more than once???);
with the shipping charge, it makes it more expensive than club soda (I guess the reviewer doesn't life in California, where club soda costs 1.79 a *plastic* bottle. Also, club soda has sodium in it--bad for you. It's smart to buy these cartridges 10 boxes at a time--that's what we do. It's quite cost effective).
the soda water is flat (that's often true, if the water isn't yet chilled. Once chilled, it's *very* bubbly).

Best Value Found Aug 14, 2005
By L. M. Perkins I only drink seltzer water so I have spent a lot of time trying to find the best value for my dollar, and this item on Amazon is the best purchase. Since it qualified for free shipping, it actually makes it worth while to purchase. It is the second best price I have found, but when you calculate shipping cost, it by far is the best value out there. Thank you amazon.

Not Economical, Just Eco-friendly Jul 12, 2009

It clearly states in the description that two cartridges should be used for a liter of soda. That makes the liter of soda cost $2.40 (if you get free shipping.) Do not compare this cost to that of Perrier or San Pellegrino because those waters have finer bubbles, akin to Champagne, some of which (Gerolsteiner) are naturally occurring. This is regular soda, with large bubbles. I buy a 12 pack of soda in cans for $3, which gives me 4.5 liters. The upside to the cartridges is having fresh soda on demand, with less packaging, shipping space, and you can recycle the steel cartridges. However, it would be worth it to look for these in bulk.

There is nary a dud in the 10 pack from iSi. They are reliable and cheap. I use at least one everyday.
