This pan is great for donuts - we used a basic recipe (vegan and mouth-wateringly good) to make donuts that were then covered in frosting or powdered-sugar. Super fast, super easy. We bought two, but we'll probably buy two more so that we can cook 48 in one go. The pans are super small, so you could fit 4 or even 6 in a good size oven, which sounds like a lot but you'll end up eating 4-12 donuts a sitting, per person :)

I bought two of these mini donut pan for a homemade donut recipe in Jessica Seinfeld's Decepitively Delicious Cookbook. It has worked perfect! You don't have to use non-stick spary on it but if you do the donuts will come out a lot easier. It is easy to clean and makes perfectly cute mini donuts that my kids devour. I would definitly reccomend buying more than one pan because 12 mini donuts will not be enough for anyone!

It's hard to review a donut pan, because most pans should be the same-- they help you bake! This pan does that, but be warned... its non-stick feature is mediocre. I just made two batches and all of my donuts ended up breaking. If you're a stickler for a perfect donut shape and prefer not to have a bunch of crumbled up donuts, I'd pass on this item.

Of course, I can only speak of my own experience. The pans are OK. They're not terribly flimsy, and they're not hard to clean. Cleaning is a bit of a nuisance since each doughnut mold has to be cleaned individually; but it's quite easy. I have five of these trays. I wanted to make one large batch of doughnuts and I didn't want to have to clean the trays between batches. In all five of them the doughnuts stick. Oh, they come out easily enough with a little help from a curved, flat plastic tool (meant for peeling oranges). They're not a pleasure to use, but they wouldn't discourage me from making the doughnuts. By the way I fill the molds using a funnel; that makes it easy. I'd get these trays again, but only because I haven't found anything better. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them with the above explanation.

These pans are very nice and make perfect small donuts. The nonstick has worked great through a few washings (all they've been used).
Note that this does make very small donuts, about the size of a 50 cent piece. If that is too small, I would recommend getting the 6 per pan version, as those are more traditional size. However, if small donuts are what you are looking for these will be perfect.
