3Poorly finished  Apr 08, 2011 By John T. Friar
Once properly mounted on the wall, this is a sturdy, nicely designed unit made of solid wood. Unfortunately, the wood was not nicely finished. The surface was not well sanded and therefore rough in spots and the red mahogany finish was sticky. I wound up sanding, priming and painting which solved the problem, but I never imagined needing to do all that work. Also, be sure you know how to mount something like this to your wall properly because, fully loaded, there is a lot of weight to support.
